Using the past to predict the future.

Predictive analytics allows you to automatically learn from past behavior present in your data to better predict the future. Contrary to expert knowledge, this data-driven knowledge is based on the ability to automatically recognize patterns in data not obvious to the expert eye. Predictive models present immediate, objective feedback ensuring consistent operational results and increasing the effectiveness of existing processes, giving you the ability to literally forecast behavior.

ADAPA Predictive Analytics works with models represented in PMML (Predictive Model Markup Language). PMML is the standard way for applications to define predictive models as well as their interfaces (pre- and post-processing). PMML is currently exported by most model development environments (SAS, SPSS, KNIME, R, KXEN, etc). Your model(s) can be directly uploaded into ADAPA and made available for scoring right away.

Predictive models contain a set of input attributes that are used to predict a certain target attribute. This prediction is seen as an assessment about a prospect, a customer, or a scenario for which you want to predict an outcome based on historical data. In a scorecard, the set of attributes selected during model development is readily available for inspection, as well as the scores associated with them. These partial scores are then summed so that an overall score is obtained for the target attribute.

ADAPA Scorecards allow non-technical users to represent all input attributes into a set of simple tables together with their partial scores. ADAPA then computes the overall score as well as reason codes which give meaning to the overall score. Reason codes, as the name suggests, allow for an explanation of scorecard behavior.
