Several leading statistical packages offer the option to export models as a PMML file. These tools are called PMML producers. ADAPAź, on the other hand, is able to consume such PMML files and execute them in real-time, on-demand, or in batch mode. Depending on the exported PMML version, you may have to convert your file to the latest PMML version.
In addition, Zementis has been engaged in contributing PMML export functionality to the R community via the PMML package offered by Togaware.
R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. You can obtain R on its project website as well as Rattle, a simple interface for quick and easy model building and data mining. Rattle is available for free from Togaware. Rattle encapsulates a PMML package that exports a series of predictive models into PMML 3.2 format. This package can also be used directly through the R interface. Currently, it allows for the export of the following predictive modeling techniques:
- Linear Regression
- Binary Logistic Regression
- Support Vector Machines
- Neural Networks
- Decision Trees
- Clustering
