To use ADAPA, you first need to launch it on the Amazon Cloud (usually called Amazon EC2 or Elastic Compute Cloud). Amazon.com (yes, one of your favorite on-line retailers) provides an amazing cloud infrastructure so that we can offer you ADAPA as a service. Whenever you purchase ADAPA on the Cloud through Amazon.com, you are shown the ADAPA Control Center.

This is just an interface that gives you the necessary control to create and terminate ADAPA instances from a single location, that's why we call it the "Control Center". An ADAPA instance is basically a virtual machine with a pre-installed version of ADAPA containing all the capabilities necessary to execute predictive models.

The Control Center gives you the power of having ADAPA at your fingertips on five different types of virtual machines. Once you select the machine type, the cloud region in which you want it to run (US or Europe), your name and e-mail, all you need to do is click on LAUNCH and wait a few minutes until your ADAPA instance is up and running. When that happens, you log in the ADAPA Console to start model deployment and execution.

Security on the Cloud.

As a scoring engine, ADAPA does not need to store any data, it merely acts as a pass-through, receiving requests and returning computed results. When your ADAPA instance is launched on the cloud, nothing is shared. The instance is completely private and once terminated, all models are deleted within seconds. No residual information is retained. For your complete peace of mind, access to your instance is only granted via HTTPS. ADAPA also utilizes the Amazon EC2 firewall to the extent of maximum lockdown.
